Azeez Akasah
Founder & Perfumer
Azeez Akasah is a Malaysian perfumer and the founder of Maison D. Azeez.
He began his perfumery journey in 2021, developing fragrances independently with an approach centred on atmosphere, memory, cultural identity and emotionally driven olfactive narratives.
As the in-house perfumer of Maison D. Azeez, Akasah is responsible for the compositions across the house’s collections.
In 2025, his work received recognition from the Asia Perfume Foundation. Ethereal Mantin received the Emerging Perfumer Award, while Classy Rompin was selected among the Top 10 finalists for Niche Perfume Brand at the Asia Perfume Awards.
His work forms part of an emerging contemporary Southeast Asian presence within international independent perfumery.
