The Years of Learning
Maison D. Azeez did not begin with a business plan.
It started in 2021 with perfumery itself.
Learning materials. Testing combinations. Building accords. Making mistakes. Reworking formulas. Trying to understand why certain structures worked and why others did not.
At that point, there was no collection.
There was no Maison D. Azeez.
There was simply an interest in understanding perfume properly.
A lot of those early years came down to trial and error.
Some ideas worked. Many did not. Some formulas went through revision after revision, while others never became finished fragrances at all.
But every experiment taught me something.
Materials slowly became familiar. Structures started making more sense. I began to understand not only what I liked, but why something worked and how to build towards the result I wanted.
That period became more important than I realised at the time.
Before Maison D. Azeez could develop an identity, I needed to develop my own language as a perfumer.
By 2023, one composition finally became more than an experiment.
It became Solace Balok.
And from there, the Maison began.
